Manufacturing shop of around 30 people. All those folks would have to make AT LEAST $23/hr to equal the CEOs pay($1.4M/yr). No fucking way we are paying that or we wouldn't be struggling so hard to find/keep employees…
I did the math on it after getting pissed how closely we are trying to watch the lowest paid employees. “Their efficiency is down!” Cool, maybe we've hit the point of diminishing returns and all those folks are stretched too thin??? Nah STFU, and just tighten the screws further! Like fire one person and we could literally DOUBLE THE WORKFORCE.
But then again why should anyone be surprised? This is the same company that bragged about spending several million dollars of fucking stock buybacks, yet won't invest in new machines to keep the core business ABLE TO FUNCTION. Guess who also has compensation as stock…not the shop floor employees!
We put together a corporate said “no, the patient isn't sick enough for treatment”. Gotta get worse before we can address it. Gotta get worse? Fucking bet lol. (Don't want to ramble too much but this is literally our approach to climate change and we are SOOOO FUCKED because of it.)
Fuck the rich taking more than their share and trying to act like we should feel privileged to fight over the scraps.
