We’ve been hurting for people for a while now, and they are trying to ramp up production even more. Bosses keep saying they interview but no one accepts the jobs.
Had a boss finally say the, “no one wants to work anymore” line. I turned around and called him out on it. “That’s bullshit. It’s not that no one wants to work. It’s that no one wants to work for shit wages anymore. You post this position for $30+ an hour, and you’ll have people knocking down the door to get in.”
The look on his face was priceless, as he stood there with his mouth hung wide open.
