Company just sold.

Hello Friends, I have the best job I've had in my life. The pay is great. My supervisor is the best. By team is fun and supportive. I am fully remote, which is crucial to my family. I have no complaints currently. The owners of the company have just sold it to a larger firm. I work with very specialized software and have been doing it for many years. Hello Friends,

I have the best job I've had in my life. The pay is great. My supervisor is the best. By team is fun and supportive. I am fully remote, which is crucial to my family. I have no complaints currently.

The owners of the company have just sold it to a larger firm. I work with very specialized software and have been doing it for many years. To have a contractor do what I do cost 5 times as much as I do, so I've been valuable to my company. The buyers however do not use that software. It is unclear if they are to leave us as independent as possible or to fold us into their systems.

I am worried they may bring someone else to handle whatever software they use and let me go. Or I may have the opportunity to expand my repertoire.

Even more worrisome, am I to be forced back into the office or have activity monitoring software added to my laptop. My supervisor now is very hands off, which is wonderful. I'm just full of angst.

Edit: Also, I work as many hours as it takes to get the job done and have a lot of freedom with my hours and I don't want to loose that.
