Doing my coworkers job

I work at a bingo hall and my coworker Steve has been there for maybe over a decade, I joined last November. Steve is in his late 60s, he says he is rich and doesn’t need the job, he just does it to get out of the house otherwise he will just sit on the couch and drink beer. Our team is super small like 10 people total including management but all of us besides the managers are “bingo agents” we’re all supposed to do varied jobs an agent is required. That’s what we are told, and still get told all the time by my boss Vic. But the only people who rotate work are me and another guy Jake (hired a month after me) who does everything. The rest of the team has permanent positions and don’t rotate jobs. And the only reason is because the people who have…

And the only reason is because the people who have been there forever (not just Steve) like what they do and throw baby fits any time it changes up, so my boss just caters to them.
Anyway, I sell tabs and paper and am always on register.

Steve sells paper. He gets to do “paper table” where he sits in the empty bingo hall and watches tv while we are all on register. He hides in the back so no one can see he’s selling. Then when we start the games he stands in one spot for half an hour at a time and watches tv. Any time someone asks for help he either doesn’t hear them because he’s obliviously watching tv, or he ignores them. If he is forced to help someone he will be rude and grumpy – guests complain about this to me all the time.

I wouldn’t give a shit if it weren’t for the fact that I have to work twice as hard any time I’m on paper. When the games start I am bombarded with guests asking for paper, then throughout the game I have to walk in circles and if my bosses see me stop it’s like they can sense it and peek their head in and tell me to keep moving. But they don’t bother with telling Steve what to do because he doesn’t listen.

I have had many guests refuse to buy paper from him. Not because I’m their lucky charm or anything, it’s because they don’t want to deal with Steve. It’s not fair to me. I legit am doing his job while he gets paid even more than I do because he’s been there longer. It makes me want to cry.

I talk to my boss about it and Vic tells me to focus on myself, and it’s like I am focusing on myself! That I’m doing his fucking job and it’s making me fucking tired.

Steve says if I quit he will quit. That’s how aware he is that I do his job lol.

I’ve been bugging my bosses more so they’ve been on his ass and he’s been bitching about it and I think my bosses think I’m causing unnecessary drama but it’s bullshit. Vic is tired of Steve.

I like my job I just hate Steve and feel like I’m being underpaid.

TL/DR: my coworker is lazy, and as a result I have to do his job for him for free.
