Long story short. I work at a dental office. When I first started working there it was a family run practice. Super chill and alot of long time pts who are almost like family. About a month before covid we were sold to a corporation. Since then it's been going down hill. It also has become extremely toxic to the point it effects my mental health and relationships. The past year we have seen an entire shift in staff. Most staff had been long time employees but when corp came in and changed everything alot left. Over the past year I've had nothing but empty promises made by the owner/manager. The past month has been extremely bad, so I started looking closer to home. On Tuesday I found a job 9 mins from home so applied. The next day a former coworker saw my resume as she does the vetting for this office. Had a phone interview with the dr that day and met her this morning for am in person interview. Within 20 mins she offered me the job and didn't bat an eye with my wage expectations. I stopped at the new office on the way home and met my new coworker. She was so welcoming and toured me around the office. I am so incredibly happy to start somewhere new with a great vibe and I have a potential to grow. My current employer will be blindsided when I hand in my notice monday and I can't fucking wait! He's been such an asshole to me this past month. Treating me like shit, calling me a victim because I ask that new staff be trained and have a job description. Good riddance asshole. Lol
