Full Time Hours but not Full Time Status…

Gotta be real y’all, I’m at my wits’ end. I’ve been working full time hours for the last six months at a job I’ve been in for two years and at the company total for 3.5 years. I’ve been working full-time to patch the hole left in my team of 8 by a full-time employee who was in a horrible accident and has since been incapacitated. That’s not the problem. The problem is that I left another team to join this one under the promise of more money.

The other team got the exact same raise I did joining my current one after I left so realistically, I’ve only received one raise of about $.60 in three years.

Still not considered full-time status with the company either so I don’t get any of the benefits that people who are full-time get.

I’m mad as hell and quite frankly, overworked. Between this, the two hour commute I have for the job and other factors such as being too busy to see a doctor or other health professional, I’m over it.

My partner keeps telling me I’m more than welcome to quit my job and develop my skill-set/apply for other jobs while they support us (they easily could). Would I be out of line for doing this? I know corporate culture is just like this overall but surely, nothing but good could come out of developing a backbone and valuing myself for once?
