My team was laid off this month, and I need to find a job.
I have chronic diseases and generally can't work “on-site” and my compromise is “hybrid”, ideal fully remote.
I had some dismissals and few ghostings, and I have 2 interviews next week, recruiters are reaching to my LinkedIn and the offers are mostly bad, but I had some luck.
I have a certificate in a rare foreign language which I haven't practiced in several years and 2 companies tried to exploit it and hire me for 3 languages at the same time, but the job has nothing to do with the 3rd language.
In one job I had a surprise test in the interview for my third language with a native. (Again the job offer had nothing to do with the language and I have my language certificate in my profile). Is this a common practice?
Sometimes I want to cry after interviews, as I feel so much pressure. The employers are so demanding and the pay is mostly below everage. We have a terrible inflation here.
When is the best time during the year to find a job?
How can I find an entry level position, every entry level position wants experience?!
Should I put makeup for interviews?
