Unfortunately, I am here to ask for your help. While I am not a big fan of unions, I believe that we need one in Legoland, there is rampant discrimination against Hispanics and Blacks/African Americans, Women and everyone that is not of a lighter complexion. Just the other day, a young girl was fired because a supervisor in Legoland said that she threatened to hit another supervisor, even though this was not true, the girl was not even near that person, nor had she spoken about hitting anyone, none the less the supervisor wrote a 7-page essay saying so and turned it i the HR people and this resulted in the girl being terminated from her job. Before that, a young Black/African American Woman was fired for no reason at all, she had done nothing to merit being terminated from her job. More issues like this have happened many times, but it would take too long to list them all. Meanwhile, the people with lighter complexion seem to be able to literally blow things up and crash just about everything, including the carts used to hull trailers and they don't get reprimanded or fired for such things.
Unfortunately, in order to have a job at Legoland, the people need to sign a contract that prevents them from unionizing and fighting for their rights. And in most cases this job is not really a choice, but basically the last resort. There have also been many safety issues, some of them being concrete falling unto people's head, people slipping and falling on wet areas because they refuse to trun the lights on where people would be working. And many, many more things.
I have come to you all in hopes that you may be able to bring pressure from the outside in an effort to unionize LEGOLAND Florida, and please try to remember that employees of Legoland cannot be involved in this, please understand this and help me get Legoland Unionized if you can.
