This was just a one-time odd job type deal not a job job, but I basically got fired after taking a few minutes to drink a bottle of water ( this was mostly outside and the weather was 85 and rising with insane humidity ).
I just feel like we’re living in a bizarro hell hole rat race world anymore. The only thing I can do at this point is laugh. I was looking at job postings in my area and a lot of them are $9/hr or they simply don’t post the rate lol.
I am in a better position than most, so I sympathize if you’re someone who’s truly stuck in one of these shitty situations, but even pursuing what I would consider a meager, barely-existent existence is crazy at this point. There are lots of options and ways to make money, but that does require stabilizing your situation and building from there.
