HELP!!!! Currently “Under Investigation” for something I didn’t do

let me start this off by saying this is NOT my experience, but my friend’s story. So about a few nights ago my friend and her 3 co workers were all hanging out on property after hours. She is a team lead/manager as well as one of the other co workers that were there. the other 2 are simply just servers. she, the other team lead, and one of the servers had been drinking and were all chilling hanging out – until my friend made a certain joke towards the server that had been drinking, well the server ended up punching her (my friend) in the face. my friend simply gets up walks towards her truck and tries to calm down. fast forward to my friends next shift, and she’s told by a manager, NOT THE STORE MANAGER, she’s not allowed on property that she needs to leave. mind you,…

So about a few nights ago my friend and her 3 co workers were all hanging out on property after hours.
She is a team lead/manager as well as one of the other co workers that were there.
the other 2 are simply just servers. she, the other team lead, and one of the servers had been drinking and were all chilling hanging out – until my friend made a certain joke towards the server that had been drinking, well the server ended up punching her (my friend) in the face. my friend simply gets up walks towards her truck and tries to calm down.

fast forward to my friends next shift, and she’s told by a manager, NOT THE STORE MANAGER, she’s not allowed on property that she needs to leave.
mind you, no one has told her not one thing about why she can’t be on property.
they did tell her she was under investigation but didn’t tell her as to what for and didn’t even ask for her side of the story or any questions AT ALL.
The SM refuses to speak to her or even let her explain her side of the story in person.
She wasn’t even the one whom put hands on someone! and she’s so confused that she’s not sure if she should call higher up and discuss the issue with corporate, sue, or just quit all together.

so pleaaase, we’d love tips and advice to figure out what to do.
