My dad (50s) and grandpa (80s) act so surprised when I told them the other day I called in. Then they have this passive aggressiveness around them like it's a fuckin humongous problem that I did that. But when they get a chance to call in its okay because they “earned” it. I hate the stupid hierarchy with my family , just because they're old that means they get a pass on everything. I'm late 20s fuck off. Like if I'm not there are work 24/7 grinding away at 11/hr I ain't going nowhere in life. Sometimes I hate to say it but there are days I wish I they could just mind their business. I'm tired of pretending I fit in with their ideals about life, I don't spend hours of my day watching foot ball and fox news.
