Hey all, obvious burner account. I relocated to another state in the US with the help of my employer almost a year ago now, and things have been less than great since I got here.
I can’t give many details, but I’ve been having some issues. My partner is sick, some family problems, brother is also sick. I’ve been throwing around the idea of quitting because I work insane hours and have no work life balance. The only issue is that If I quit before I’ve been with the company for a specific amount of time, they make me pay back the relocation bonus.
I unfortunately don’t have the means to pay the bonus back because of my circumstances. Does anyone have any advice as to what I can do or say to get out of this? I’m looking for any ideas here, thank you!
