How would you handle a situation like this?

I work at a small shop and we’re really slow rn. I have no work to be done under my direct job title (electronics technician. I solder components onto PCBs). Now TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, there is always SOMETHING to be done, as I’ve always been told at the jobs i’ve had. There’s always “busy work” to do like sweeping or some other form of mindless/unnecessary work. For the past week i’ve been just doing some work assembling products that are just gonna go straight to inventory, but nothing that I could do HAS to be done and i’m only doing it for the sake of being there for my minimum 8 hours (and for pay too I guess). I’m so bored it’s bordering painful lol. There are a few things outside of work that’d i’d like to do for myself that’s productive but I can’t do any of them because I…

Idk maybe these thoughts are best left inside my head, but i’m just curious how others go about situations like this
