i work front desk at a hotel and we just got a new manager about a month ago, and i just haven't been able to get a good read on her. but today, i got to work and she starts telling me that she got a call for basically someone wanting to pay for a room for a homeless person to stay.
i told her “yeah that happens sometimes, it might be their therapy office or something like that wanting to place them for a day or two.”
she then proceeds to say “well i don't want homeless people staying here. what ? ghetto white trash ? no. like you're homeless for a reason. get a job ! there are a thousand jobs out there go get one. hell, i'm hiring !”
like how are you going to say you don't want homeless people even staying in the hotel then go on to say that you're hiring ? like you'd give them a job.
all i said back to her was “well you need to think about the fact that you need a home address, phone number, documents like id and social security, reliable transportation, clean clothes, and so many things to get a job that a homeless person simply does not have.”
she just said “i know that” and started talking about something else.
i just really can't anymore with these super hypocrites.
