I finally left a job that was setting me up to fail!

I currently work at a job I really like. I decided back in February I would add a 2nd job because the hours were actually perfect based on what they said. I interviewed 2 times with them. They picked me, all good. They made it seem great. I started and right away I noticed a couple things wrong. Fast forward in the start of April, I got covid (from this job it’s a urgent care facility). They act like it was a “inconvenience” that I was sick. I didn’t ever get covid since it started until I started working here. No biggie I was over it. They were like “this job requires you to be reliable”. Umm, i had covid. It wasn’t like I took a few days off to go on a vacation!

Then the office manager of this spot would rarely talk. Despite me asking them and even emailing about a few questions given I am new. They wouldn’t even answer my questions.

I finally sent a email to them today and said I am quitting effective immediately. I am being set up to fail. They’d tell me “oh do you know you need to use this program?” Umm..no? Never even heard of it. I don’t even have the login credentials either. Other workers there even told me the turnaround rate is high for new employees. The longest employee doing my same job was only there for 3 months. I felt bad, like a back and forth thought if I should give a 2 week notice. But after repeated attempts to reach out to my boss, they wouldn’t even answer my questions. I wanted to set myself up to be successful. But that cannot be when they legit don’t communicate. And how rude they were when I was sick….I said screw it, I’m done. They clearly have issues and this ain’t for me.

I’ll stick to my first job. My boss their is awesome and my co-workers are awesome.
