Ok so it all started this morning.
For context I sub at my daughters school sometimes. 2 days a week on a slow week, 4/5 other weeks.
I am in the middle of getting my daughter ready for daycare when I get a text saying, “Hey is this figurativejesus? (Child’s name)‘s mom?” “Yes it is” “How’s she doing over there?” (My child had just moved up daycare classes recently) “Ok, I mean she’s still my child so about as well as we can expect from her ” “Well I heard something this morning from a 3rd party source that I just had to tell you. As a mother I would want to know if something was happening to my kid. I heard that (Child’s teacher) slapped your daughter on Tuesday or Wednesday”
So I spent the entire day going to 14 daycares in my area, finally finding one with an opening. Then I went back to my daughters daycare, and pulled her. I spoke with the owner who BEGGED ME TO STAY. “Oh we just love her, she’s so sweet, and she’s so advanced she could move her up to the 3 year old room. She’s almost 2”
Babe. If you love my daughter so much, you’d know she turned 2 in October.
She wants us to stay because we pay out of pocket so they get more money.
We were in her office for over an hour with her begging me to stay and me insisting my child would not be returning Monday.
Finally she asks me, “We’ll can we still call you to sub?”
No. No the fuck you cannot. I quit.
So now I’m unemployed I’m a broke college student and still owe the daycare for lasts month of care, which is $920 I don’t have, but I’ll pay it in chunks. I know I shouldn’t pay but they’re known for taking people to court over $500.
