i started working for a local campground about a month ago doing guest services/reservations after doing food service for the past decade. this is my first non food service job and on my third day i was offered a supervisor position and told my manager i would like to discuss it with my gf because it would mean longer hours and more sporadic shifts and she’s a stay at home mom. the following week i talk with my manager and was told that they hired someone with more experience than myself, which at first i was understanding of their decision but then was told that i would be training said person and have been for the past few days. i enjoy the job because it’s a change of pace but between getting skipped over and the imposter syndrome i just don’t know how to move forward and continue with this company.
