I wanted to ask people what’s a good way to form a union as a Amazon warehouse employee in Oklahoma. I’ve come to the decision because my girlfriend quit her job when she finally got an offer to work for Amazon, only for them to swear up and down that as seasonal workers they wouldn’t be let go over nothing. Well after 2 weeks they were all fired and I’m sick of letting them get away with this bullshit. I’m willing to take the hit of being illegally fired for trying to for a Union, but at this point it’s all that I care about. Please give me advice on how to best form this Union. My current plan is to learn everything I can regarding Union laws, such as when and where can give my sales pitch to other workers. I believe I can talk to anyone as long as I’m not on the clock, I should even be able to talk to them in the break rooms. Once I have all I need legally, I plan on confronting ever younger person that I can and tell them the Union is all but forming, and if they wanted they can join in. Maybe they will be willing to join if they think it’s allready a foregone conclusion, which in reality it is. Union or Illegal firing here I am.
