Today I saw that my boss had me photoshopped for marketing purposes.
I'm an interior designer; I work in a creative field. There is nowhere in our employee handbook that says anything against exposed tattoos. I showed up to my interview with my leg sleeve exposed, so as to ensure tattoo visibility would not be an issue.
Recently, I assisted with a finished project photo shoot. Today, I saw that my boss had the architectural photographer photoshop my skin and visually remove my ink. All of it. She could have just selected a photo of the space without me, or any person in it, but she chose to use the slow exposure and to have my tattoos removed.
I found out by checking updates on our company portfolio on our website.
I'm sort of at my wit's end with my boss, (why I joined this sub red) so I'm wondering if that is compounding to make me upset over this, or is it rational to be upset?
Thanks, y'all.
