This isn't about me, but one of my co workers is 16 and works at the same place I do. She takes in extra shifts and helps open, even though people under 18 can't legally do that.
Another thing is she's near the fryer where there's popping oil, she makes food there all the time but again, under 18 means the company could get in trouble if she gets injured.
She was talking to me and said once she quits she was gonna sue for child endangerment, or make a complaint about how she's working too much as a minor, even though she asks for all of these hours and cooks in the fryer anyway.
So, is she being smart here? If she sues and wins she could get money, however I feel like she's being a dumbass and causing a scene for no reason.
