Hi all,

Just wondering, all those who work at HR department don't you feel morally challenged every day? I know it's a big business area, so I am not talking about the guys in payroll or employee benefits or training – but the departments responsible of hiring, corporate structure, labor relations… Based on my working experience HR is always kind of “not liked” by anyone – is this just me or a common thing?

These are the departments responsible of laying off people, of stopping promotions, holding back salary rises, not really providing support to employees when need it… Me and many of my colleagues from different companies and positions had been lied to their face, just making promises that never hold and inventing excuses to justify it.

I may be a bit biased because I always had very bad experiences with them, but it looks to me like they are always on the wrong side of the worker.

Did anyone had good experiences with HR? You guys working at HR see it the same way? Can someone enjoy this kind of job?
