The biggest scam about working is having to pay to work. I used to be in tile and granite industry and just to get started costs around $1500 and I was 18 at the time. Then when I stopped doing that after 8 years I became a diesel mechanic. That’s about a $12,000-$15,000 start and then you’re constantly buying tools. Did that for 10 years and got my CDL which costs me $200 a year plus renewing my Medcard for another $160. Drove truck for a bit and had to pay for boots and work type clothing. Now I’m a corrections officer and that costs money. I don’t pay for uniforms but I pay for boots that I have to wear plus my duty belt and everything on it. Then I have to pay for gas to get there plus wear and tear on my car. Then I get taxed on my paycheck just to get taxed on everything else I purchase after that. I can see why no one wants to work anymore. The whole, you get what you work for is bullshit now days. If I could work under the table I would. My tax dollars go to other countries so fuck it.
