Job application ridiculousness

A friend told me I was too anxious about minor details in applications (e.g. using the same word twice in a paragraph, how I send them and at what time and to who, etc.), which is true, but I'd like to give a shoutout to the ridiculous work and job market culture that has given me this anxiety in the first place. In a world where I'm told by a school career advisor that changing the font size of my name on a resume could improve my application or everyone insists that there can be zero grammatical errors in a cover letter otherwise it's an automatic rejection (which turned out to be false in at least one case), how the fuck would I not be anxious/paranoid about minor things?
