Job application software – the woorsttt

Just applied to a job through JobDiva, uploaded my resume and it got BUTCHERED – it listed every separate task as another job, with no title, etc. I can't be bothered to go fix it, I don't understand what they hope to get out of that except the most desperate unemployed (which I've been but currently I have a contract, just looking what else might be interesting). Really, is that the best major corporations can do? How is that better than just looking at a damn resume and running it through word recognition software? The company I applied to was IBM for a fairly senior position.
