my partner recently started a new job (food service) at $20/hr, has been working there for about a 2 weeks with everything going fine other than not receiving a lot of direction / genuine training.
after he got off his shift today, one manager was working on payroll and texted him to ask what the other manager agreed to pay (shift ended @ 4:30 pm, texts received @ 9:30 pm). he told them $20/hr and then Other Manager texted saying his pay dropped to $15/hr + tips after his first 3 training shifts.
wth is this ?? anyone ever encountered this before ?
