So i have two primary complaints with my current job and am looking for any advice I plan to call my union on these issues as soon as i get the time
So the first issue which was brought to my attention today is that i will now have to close up my department, walk down to the main store a 5 min walk across the parking lot and be clocked out all by 11:00pm which is when my shift is scheduled until meaning i have to close up earlier than I’m supposed to and might not be feasible if its a busy night these are minor annoyances at best but whats really frustrating is that i also need to be out of the main building by 11:00 for context i take Uber’s home at night so that means some nights i could be waiting outside for as long as a hour while waiting to find a ride
The next issue thats been ongoing for years now but i’ve kind of just dealt with is that my raises get cancelled out by minimum wage increases so if i get a .25 cent raise but minimum wage goes up by .30 they set my pay at minimum wage so for the 8 years i’ve worked here i’ve only made minimum wage
