Title says it all. Got hired for an after school teaching position promised 10-14 hours, worked there for 8 months. Showed up every day, never asked for time off, genuinely tried harder than I’ve ever tried at a job. Like I tried so fucking hard at this job and it was never good enough.
Was told last Monday that I was being reduced to 6 hours and not to come in on Tuesday. Then, on Thursday I learned that they just gave my hours to my coworker. I assumed they were trying to get me to quit so I quit immediately after my shift. To my surprise, my supervisor was like shocked ?
With my hours reduced to 6, I would’ve only made 700$ a month. So sad that I had to quit but I really feel like they just didn’t want me there.
