Just needed a spot to rant…

In April 2022, I took a pretty crappy admin job paying 43k/year and 10 days PTO. I’ve had a small raise since then and make 46,000 now. This is still nothing in NYC but I graduated and then got laid off in the pandemic and didn’t have much choice. What really just pissed me off is finding out my coworker started with the same title as me 8 years ago but was offered 50k and 15 days of vacation. The job offer quite literally got worse for the same position and duties expanded. And on top of that, since I have only 10 days off a year I try to plan vacations around holidays we already get off but I always get denied for those. They always plan mandatory events or meetings right around a holiday 🙁 my mental health is dramatically suffering from never having enough money and not…

my mental health is dramatically suffering from never having enough money and not having time. I’m trying to find a new job but this job market still sucks ass.

Edit: oh and a cherry on top is everyone has remote-hybrid abilities except me. I make the least and yet I’m required to spend $130 a month to go to work! I’m in the office just in case
