My husband returns from deployment sometime next month, and I never know the day he'll fly in until a week before. It's incredibly difficult to put in a PTO request for this. Just got an email from management saying no more PTO requests will be accepted next month, until the busy season is over. So I won't be able to spend my husband's R&R with him this year (he deploys every year, and I've never had a problem asking for the time off). So I'm handing in my 3 week notice this week.
I was already training someone to be my replacement, and her training ends in 3 weeks.
I'm being more than generous with my notice and assistance for this money hungry, unethical company. I keep telling myself I don't owe them anything more.
I have been threatened with garnished wages (forgetting to charge line items on an invoice- so we would have to pay them, mistakes made with product- we would have to pay for it, etc), told to cut back my OT even though we're overscheduled and understaffed, and the company cares more about profits than staff wellbeing. The amount of things I could report to the labor board is astounding.
I really wish I could hold out longer, but I just can't do it.
Edit: I was planning on quitting September, because of my PCS. Moved it up to August.
