My job has some of the worst communication I’ve ever seen!

I work in a Care Facility, and the communication from management here is criminally bad. Whether or not it actually is breaking laws is another matter altogether. The issues started on day one, I was dropped into a position I didn’t even apply for, given virtually no training except to turn a valve in the event of a fire, which was immediately contradicted by a coworker, and basically left to figure it out. Issues started piling up during a fire alarm going off, and I’d evacuated everyone on first floor. My manager, who’s always in a bad mood, got pissed at me because I grabbed my stuff(because I had it in front of me about to eat lunch) and told administration I’d chosen my stuff not just at the expense of helping clients, but over it. I did neither and even with 1 arm occupied helped a mobility challenged client…

I did neither and even with 1 arm occupied helped a mobility challenged client through 4 doors with no issues. Administration took this and threatened to terminate me if I ever did it again. Which granted I made a stupid mistake, but escalating to that degree was frankly tactless.

The second major incident has to do with me talking with my grandmother who has a lifetime of experience in nursing and even a few years in nursing management. When I’d brought up that they made me do Line of Sight, and watch work, said that they weren’t allowed to do that because it violated some kind of regulation. (I never checked for myself because I don’t know what to search up.)

And now recently they’ve been cracking down on my department in particular, taking away our leeway, and cracking down on mistakes, most of which never would have happened would I have received even the most basic training on week 1. I can offer specifics by DM, but need to protect my anonymity so I won’t be posting them here.

And now as if this isn’t all bad enough, In recent months I’ve been accused of challenging a resident over administrations decisions and was threatened to be blacklisted from healthcare for violating clients rights if I did it again. To make it worse I have no idea what they’re talking about, they didn’t bother to explain the particulars of the incident, and last I checked I did no such thing. How is any of this ok? Is this even legal?

It just feels like they’re setting me up to take the fall.
