My last job was a vanity project for the owners

I guess I just need to know if other people had to do something this asinine – it really felt like we were worshipping our corporate overloards. My last job was for Prizer-Painter Stove Works, which owns BlueStar and Big Chill appliances. I was in customer service in the parts/warranty dept, and one day we were told we had to come into work wearing our BlueStar shirts / apparel, and in the afternoon we all went out into the warehouse so the director could take a video of all of us waving and saying “Happy Anniversary, [name] and [name]!” to the owners. Maybe it's a normal thing and I just think it was stupid because of the other ways they treated us like garbage, but does anyone else think that's a little bizarre?? It's like something a class of school children would do for their teacher, just left a bad…
