I work for a non profit and we submit paper timesheets every other week. I didn’t think about taking pictures of these paper time sheets because I assumed they would be ethical and compensate me for the hours written (big mistake).
My supervisor changed one of my employees time sheets in front of me because he didn’t believe she actually worked those hours even though as her boss I vouched for her.. which got me really suspicious. I ended up taking a picture of my last time sheet and then compared it to the hours I was actually paid and noticed they paid me for 28 hours instead of 29. I emailed them and requested every written time sheet I’ve ever submitted but didn’t tell them what I noticed yet. I’m in NJ. Any advice? I think I’m going to see if they did it any other times as well and then take action.
