Revolution through the free market
There is no reason to revolt by picking up the sword. If you do so, you replace the necessity to improve the underlying infrastructure of the current system and thus find yourself needing to handle with the same infrastructure. Given that we repeat what has brought us success, in this case the sword, this will lead to increased suffering. Instead I propose a revolution under free market concepts and/ or conditions. There is a consensus on this subreddit that the tools and processes that make up the system can be changed to make them more effective and efficient. Perfect, because then you just have to set up this alternative system with these more effective and efficient processes and tools and continuously develop it. The free market will provide the reward. No force is required through this approach, because you interact with the underlying infrastructure, i.e. the processes and tools, instead…
Carvana Brings in the Union-Busters
Or something similar, usually where I work someone just hootie hoos or says mayonnaise if the boss is coming. Was wondering what tricks Reddit has?
Which is just insane. If we worked less, more people would get in the job market. The people working less than 100% would most probably feel happier and be more productful in life and at work. But if you want to work 75% or 50% you cant because it is the employeer who decide in the application process.
Hi everyone. I'm a long time lurker but a few things happened that motivated me to post here for the first time. I'm a recent college graduate and my graduation ceremony is coming up in less than a week. This should be one of the happiest times in my life, but based on the way things are going in the US right now, I've lost all hope for my future. I want to be joyous and celebrate that I've managed to get a college degree during a goddamn pandemic, but all I am experiencing is acute despair. All of my professors are urging us to go to graduate school, but I honestly don't know if I have it in me to keep going. I want to do my best to help people (graduating in psychology) and that has kept me going for so long and has kept me aiming towards…
I have to work this summer.
I am a college student, and given the world we live in I need to work over the summer between semesters. I am 21F and have an interview at a certain mermaid logo'd coffee shop. Is it worth it to work there if I'm offered the job for just 2 months? Does anyone recommend anywhere else that may be hiring and decent for college students needing summer work?

Last week, there were two regular customers that came into my fast food job that got into a near physical altercation with another man related with my coworker. The customers were in front of me at the register while the man was next to my right side on the other side of a counter. They began doing the shirt lifting thing that somewhat symbolizes that they have a gun, at least in my area. It may have been a bluff but I don’t care. I feared for my life until my coworker took them out of the store. I was frozen and I was scared coming into work for days after out of fear of retaliation. My coworker was even fired over this incident. Today, I bluntly told my manager I would quit if they were allowed…
