Here some of the think I just found bizzare: 1. Anti abortion law then on top of that now they are planning to ban contraceptive, than why even have sex education. 2 . Healthcare is expensive has fuck, for no reason at all. 3 . Be too progressive like letting criminal change there gender and transferring cells. Why you focusing so much on the 0.5% of the people. 4 . Gun violence and drugs ,rapper talking about them all the time. 5 . The phobia and ism epidemic. 6 . The inflation is insane the average median income as decrease in the last 20 years. Now I'm not saying that I live in the best country in the world but atleast we don't show down other countries and say we are the best.Maybe i go on about insane but 20K for a dentist you fucking kidding me .
Can I negotiate this salary?
Job posting says 55k – 65k and it was confirmed during our first interview. Job offers me 62,500 but “with 401k match” it’s 65,000. I’m okay with this offer but wanted to know if it’s common to offer it like this? I wanted to negotiate to get 65,000 k salary but know that would put me over the threshold after 401k match.
Should I negotiate?
Just got a new job and they sent over the contract. I'm super excited but I was looking over and the hourly rate is not an even number and would be 30 or so cents from the next dollar amount. However, I recently spoke with HR and they asked for an updated resume to justify why the department I'll be working in is paying me that amount without my Master's Degree. I'm in the process of getting my degree and will be done in a year. Tbh I'm fucking awesome and I am a super hard worker and think I should get the next dollar amount. Should I try to negotiate? I asked my dad and he said I should and after demonstrating my abilities for a few months try to negotiate a few dollars up, but I'm not sure. What do yall think?
Who do I speak to?
I currently work for a British supermarket chain as a shift manager. After speaking with a friend who works for another supermarket in a similar position to me I've found that I'm actually missing a few things I feel I should getting at my job. – Bank holiday pay (was apparently taken before I started) – On call pay (Never mentioned before by management) – Extra pay for working Sunday (we're open 6am – 10pm on Sundays like every other day and never close early) I've been told that these plus other things should come as standard to shop workers in the UK, I'm also wanting to arrange a strike with the union about receiving fairer pay and working conditions after having worked though the pandemic. I really want to know who to contact about this and the best way to go about it. I however am also scared that…
Is college worth it?
Soon I’ll be graduating from high school, and I’ve been debating whether I should even try to go to college. My grades are all over the place, I’m not eligible for any scholarships, and the money situation at home isn’t doing very well, so I’m not going to ask for any help from them, even though I feel they would help if I asked. I’m debating between a gap year before going to a nearby community college, or moving halfway across the country(Mass>Colorado) and renting a place with the bit of savings I have left before finding a job at Walmart or some place similar. I just figured I should try and get my life together before I end up not able/wanting to do anything with it. Any advice is appreciated as I am a horribly ignorant person. (Mobile btw)
Today I’m quitting Concentrix
I’m emotionally exhausted. In the interview I was told I’d be providing website support and that overall it’s a great job. Well, turns out it’s a call center job and a really awful one at that. I wasn’t prepared to deal with back to back calls where people scream at me for 9 hours a day. People treat you like you’re subhuman and it’s your fault their FedEx package is late. This job is pushing me to drink, and it’s only been a few months. I’m angry or crying all the time, setting up my computer to work for the day gives me anxiety. I hate having a camera in my bedroom. I’m not even allowed to glance at my phone, god forbid there’s an emergency. We’re also required to give out our personal information. The other day I had a creep on the phone ask how I spell my…
