I Rage-Quit My Job for the First Time
Today, I rage-quit a job for the first time. And managed to not cry. My job was doing admin work for an MLM/large company that sells vacuums and sounds like a Nintendo character. Should that have been my first sign? Yes. However, I was telling myself that it was OK bc the product wasn't a piece of shit. The straw that broke the figurative camel's back was when 1) my boss wouldn't compensate me for my extra work (I made $15/hr,) 2) they got upset that I agreed with them when they said to give them the duties if they “were too much” (they weren't – I just didn't want to do the extra work for no pay,) and 3) they said my opinions didn't matter bc I didn't contribute to the company's main focus. So, I quit after telling them that I help keep this company together bc I…
Given the obvious fact that neither Republicans or Democrats will actually support the working class, I literally cannot see any downside. Republicans winning because of our lost votes only will cause more things to happen that convince people to join our cause. The only possible way we can actually cause real change through the system is by installing leaders that are not slaves to the tone deaf, deceitful, and senile rhetoric that controls our nation. I would appreciate if anyone who comments on this would list candidates that support our cause. We are the working class. Without us there is no America. Wake up. We are an elephant on a rope. It's time to pull the tree we are tied to out of the fucking ground.
Not sure if this is the right place
Where can I find work laws for a minor being investigated and questioned by an employer( damn near interrogated).
Who loves/likes their job?

Interview Advice Needed
Hey Everyone, Long time lurker, first time poster in this sub, but I have some questions. I have an interview coming up for a remote camp job (when I say remote, it's a four and a half hour flight to the camp from the nearest city). I know others who work for this company, but they're of a different generation (boomer) than me (millennial), and while they seem to like it, I've noticed that within this industry, their generation is almost always treated better, regardless of work ethic and what they bring to the position. My main questions I need some advice on, are how to approach wage questions in an interview, while I've never had issues with this in the past, this is the first rotating shift job I would be working, as well as the first where overtime is garnered daily (it's 12 hour days 7 days a…
I want to change my job. My technical skills are pretty good but my social skills suck. I have been struggling with social anxiety for a very long time (which I recently found out) And I realise my current job made it worse. Whenever I felt like I am improving and started developing self-confidence, I got comments from people in my company saying I am very awkward and silent. I felt really attacked and kinda lost my self-esteem. When I was giving interviews before my current job, I was very confident and full of hope. Now I am afraid to give an interview and have no confidence. That's why I am not even searching for another job. (Sorry for the bad English, I hope the above msg is making sense)
Perfectly sums up corporate culture
A shocking thing I find is that companies are so desperate to avoid legal costs. As part of a condition of employment, they will often have workers sign arbitration agreements; anything to avoid a jury trial. Ironically companies that do this have to pay the cost of arbitration which can end up being expensive if there are thousands of cases against them. But don’t people have the right to a jury trial?
