Solution to America’s Divide
So I have a theory to solve the division of America, Red vs Blue, Conservatives vs Progressive and unite the country together once more and was simply wondering how it may work, as a theory. The US National Guard launches an initial stage to seize any property (mostly trucks using diesel) and detain occupants from residents who voted for GOP candidates in prior elections. Once detained, detainees (detainees because once detained these residents would no longer be considered “US citizens”) The US National Guard would collect other belongings from the former US citizens residences such as clothing that the detainees will be making into cookie-cutter style one piece jumpsuits. The former US citizens diesel guzzling trucks once seized, loaded onto a large trailer with other former US citizens transportation methods, are then taken to foundries, where more detainees are forced to drain all fluids out of the vehicles, remove the…
Making a fake receipt
Had to call out of work the other and BSed car trouble to avoid issues (so I thought). Boss man wants a receipt to prove the car trouble was real. Any advice for creating a fake receipt for the boss? I need to keep a clean record with this job in order to spring board into a better position I’m pursuing
I figure, wage leverage. Edit: “Disabled” is in quotes because a lot of people the government define as disabled reject that classification.
Mother’s day strike- how to strike?
Hello comrades, For the first time ever, I will join the mothers day strike. I have never done a strike from work before, can you give advice on what to do/say? I will try to assemble my coworkers but none of us are that close. Do I notify my manager the day of or just not show up? Do I use sick time? I appreciate yall, Support women in solidarity! https://www.mothersdaystrike.com/
Hi all, in the last few months there has been a major staffing reorganization at my job. Due to this, I’ve been assigned nearly double the work and responsibilities. Initially, I was getting 5 hrs OT paid per 2 week pay period as kind of a bonus. Now, they cut that saying they don’t have the budget for OT and will only give me 5 hours OT for banked time off. Meaning, if I work 5 hours OT, I get to bank 7.5 hours of time off that I can use for vacation. I can’t collect the banked OT as cash. This felt like a slap in the face as the extra pay was like a consolation prize for all the extra work/responsibilities. For context, I work for a public agency and they can’t just give me a raise. I have to wait for my regularly scheduled raises. This banked…
Withholding COVID Close Contact Info
For context I live in Chicago, IL. I don’t know what the laws are as far as anything like this goes, and with rules loosening I was wondering if anyone could tell me… Two of my coworkers exposed me to COVID and a manager told me that they weren’t allowed to say anything but that HR should have contacted us by now. I’ve gotten no notifications that I’ve been in close contact with coworkers who have tested positive. I am most likely positive as well. I’m frustrated that I wasn’t told and that I only know because of rumors and a manager insinuating to me they weren’t allowed to say anything if someone did test positive but “if someone isn’t coming to work and they’re scheduled… make conclusions…”
I need another change
I found myself another job late last year and it was so much better than previous but I'm finding now that overall I need something WFH because I cannot seem to want to continue going to this newer job. It's completely a mental thing and maybe a tad health related because this one is so much more physical (more so than was initially described to me because of certain physical limitations) that I no longer feel the desire to do this. It's only been 8 months but I know that I can't stay here, consistently calling out (Thank God for FMLA but that only lasts so long). I don't have any degrees but I've done data entry before and I figure that if anyone knows anything about making this type of change, someone here would be able to help/know something useful. I'm located in Oregon. I know I'm burnt out…
