Corporate life. I was a poster child of a “company man” until I learned the truth. First boss at Company A gave fake bad reviews to employees to keep them from pursuing jobs away from him and to build cases to fire people whenever it was convenient. Second boss at Company B was grossly incompetent but threatened anybody who called her out with a sexual discrimination lawsuit; made me take the blame for her mistakes and implied that I was a sexist, then gaslighted me about it years later so I wouldn’t tell the truth about her to her colleagues at her new job. I just quit my job. I work for minimum wage (learning disability + mental illness+abusive home life=high school drop out) so it's not as crazy as some of the stories on here but whatever. I've worked at the same place for 4 years, started working full time when I was 16.
