Anybody else get laid off from carvana today because many of us got laid off because they thought we were gonna do good during tax season and just got fucked out of our jobs. I was doing some work at a coffee shop and the owners were interviewing a man (maybe 20s?) at the table behind me for a closing position. They were asking standard questions about his life and such and why he wants to work there. He was honest and said his current job didn't offer enough hours/wasn't paying well enough to allow him to fully support his daughter. The owners proceeded to say they would expect his full time commitment even though they are only open 6am-3p everyday. They followed that with complaints that the training schedule (which started at 5am and ran 6 days a week??) would interfere with his current overnight work.
