A post in r/antiwork has called for a general strike for the very possible elimination of Roe v. Wade in the United States. https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/uhfipg/roe_v_wade_general_strike/ All Americans who support abortion rights should organize—when and where possible—for a general strike to eliminate the increasing restrictions on abortion by conservative officials. Organize with your coworkers, find out who is also troubled by these new laws being passed and the possibility that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v Wade. If you’re a student, try to organize a walkout. Pass out fliers and try to organize rallies and protests at your school or university. More importantly, communicate with activists, comrades and others across the county. Ideas and tactics can always be improved the more we communicate. People in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Georgia (where abortion rights are being restricted) can learn a lot from one another and what’s the most effective. Americans across the…
Need a week off from work ASAP!
I needed a week off from work but my vacation and personal time off was denied by management due to new person(s) being hired. The other option I had in mind was calling out sick with an officially stamped sick leave from the hosputal. What are some legitamite reasons i can call out sick that would offer me roughly a week at home?
Please protest with us.
Now I have to work more for less money, the workplace is getting worse, I have zero motivation to do anything
It wasn’t a bad job. But the thought of being told what to do by another human being felt so unnatural. I just woke up one day and said, No More! I quit my job that day. I’m young in the prime of my life and don’t want to waste my youth doing what I don’t want to do. These days I’m excited to wake up every morning (or afternoon).
Basically just venting. No idea how young people are supposed to get started in the USA w/o crippling fear of debt & the fear of losing the health lottery and things getting even worse
Just showed up in my feed… ooookay.
Starbucks new benefits to combat unions.
There is no end in sight.
I work in a large corporation and make decent money, but I’m starting to hate my job more and more every day. My boss doesn’t think my work is ever good enough and I’m starting to reach my breaking point. Thing is, I still basically live paycheck to paycheck with my student loans taking up half of my monthly income. I would love to just quit my job and go work in a bar somewhere that is less stressful, but I can’t afford the massive pay decrease. There is no end in sight to this and I don’t know how much more I can take.
