I reapplied for the reposted position and haven't heard anything from them regarding another interview. My question is why would they select me for a digital interview and then repost the same position after the position was cancelled and not have me start where we left off? Really wanted the job.
I am DONE with being “useful”.
As above, working from home with a company provided Surface Pro, can't change any settings on it, but would like to make it and teams look like I'm active while I potter about the house. Still need to be able to hear incoming calls etc.
I work in a manufacturing plant as a group leader and have more experience in my department than almost everyone. Used to take phone calls at home when issues came up and noone could fix them and I would automatically get 4 hrs pay whether I could tell them what to do in 5 mins or 1.5 hrs. Just over 100 bucks a phonecall, middle of the night could suck a little but I didn't mind the money so it was all good. Could almost double my pay on some bad weeks. Get a new head manager who decides he doesn't wanna pay for phonecalls so I said that's fine never call me at home again. I told them I would put my freelance work aside and focus on filling this role and learning the ins and outs of the company, as long as further down the road I can pick it up again. Once I have a feel of how things run. That was a lie. The role I got is labor intensive,…
Fuck Cover Letters
I’m writing this at 1 am with a splitting headache. I’m just getting into the workforce and all I can think of is how much I hate cover letters. The amount of dickriding they want me to do is insane. Why do I have to make some shit up about why I’m the best person in the world, proofread it, rewrite it, tweak it, double check against the listing to see if I’ve used the magic key words, tweak it again, lie, h—bitch are you hiring or are you not? You can see whether I’m qualified from the resume, stop asking me to kiss ass when we both know I’m only here for the money. And another thing FUCK putting in your resume to then manually input the same information on your resume! Why the FUCK did you ask me then, huh?! GOD. I’m not looking forward to another few…
