I hate when my boss wants to do a video call for no reason except to talk at me for an hour. I'm supposed to give him a rundown of everything I've done each day and one project wasn't getting done fast enough so he told me I needed to pick up the pace. And I was like….no sir I cannot do that. And he was like oh don't think I'm upset with you!! It's my fault!! Let's call on Monday. And I have been dreading talking to him about it because it's just like…let me do my work and finish it. I don't need a babysitter, I know what I'm doing most of the time and if I don't, I'll ask….just so annoyed and anxious.
I swear on all that is holy, if I see one more post about someone asking nicely for their back pay instead of contacting the labor board and potentially getting treble damages I'm spamming the fucking labor board link in every thread. That's it. That's the post.
Picked this up today for the cubicle

I have been cheated over 800 dollars
I am only 15, but I decided to share my story with you guys. I work at a local A&W restaraunt near my house that I walk to almost every day after school. I have been working here for 7 and a half months now and on the 24th I put in my two weeks, because I have been cheated nearly a thousand dollars due to the owner refusing to give me any of the raises I was promised, and also nearly 30 hours missing on two combined checks. When I started I was offered 8.50 (seeing as I'm only 15 I thought “wow I'm about to be rich!”) With a promise of a 50 cent raise after 3 months and another dollar raise after 6 months. After 3 months they congratulated me on being such a hard worker and promoted me to a shift lead and I was supposed…
If the 32 hour work week bill does pass…
Which I believe the intent it’s to make it a four day work week of 8 hour shifts. I think companies will still make people work 5 days just 6 hours and 24 minute shifts. They will say some bullshit that even if it’s still 40 hours 4 days just isn’t enough. And sure shorter day is nice but it’s not as good as a 3 days off. Also I think a lot of companies will make everyone salary and still work them 5 days 40 hours at the same yearly pay. Companies will do everything they can to fight it and look for every loophole.
Our country's minimum salary is 1200. This one offers between 1500 – 1999 and is 'negotiable'.
My husband works in California as a securiry gaurd. His company is probably the worst of the worst security companies ever (Yes, of course it's Allied Universal). These managers are constantly pulling a bunch of bullshit in regards to things like time off, sick pay, health care, pay structures and so much more. My husband is looking for another job but in the meantime, he's considering contacting a lawyer about some of the most recent infractions. Here's the situation: Employee schedules and site information are posted online. Lately, management has been changing his schedule at the last minute. Last night, he checked his schedule and he was scheduled to work at 10 pm this evening. Around 4pm he gets a text from his site asking if he can come in earlier (at 6pm). He responds that he can come in at 8pm and will do so. He starts getting ready…
