I’ve noticed some positions that list either last year or below minimum wage on their job description and have been reporting this to indeed for removal. Is anyone else doing this? Also if y’all think this is a good idea let me know. Edit: I live in Washington state where I’m very grateful that min wage increases every year. The current min wage in Washington is 14.49, but it’s still not enough in most of the western part of the state for anyone to live comfortably.
Everyone at my job thinks I'm stupid for not taking extra shifts, yes it's easy money but I'm wasting my free time. I'd rather have days off and less money than working 3 weeks straight and a little more money because taxes are just going to take most of it anyway.
Why is the burden always on the worker. If a worker lives in a HCOL area they are told to move or commute longer but companies are never told to pay workers a wage so their workers dont have to commute an hour plus or struggle in the area the company choose to operate in.

Also, can you explain to me why a Superintendent can give themselves a $40,000 raise but no one wants to pay the teachers more money? Am I missing something here? Can someone educated on this matter educate me on this. It’s obviously a problem if someone teachers are quitting. Can someone help me out here?

You should find a task or tasks that only you can or are willing to do, and do them consistently such that your boss starts to take it for granted, then it’s time for the next step N – Neglect Emotionally Stop doing the task, either by just not doing it because it isn’t in your job description, or quit, whatever is appropriate. This will make them realise just how much they need you, but your aren’t there so they get sad enough for step I I – Inspire Hope Offer to return to doing the task for a significant raise and do it S – Separate Entirely Use your new wage to…
