Had 2 job offers, and the public service ones took me! Should still pick up my contract today! That means I only work 37 hours and get paid full time And never work on weekends, and at least 30 days paid vacation. But now I have these ridiculous feelings of guilt, for my differently job offer. I mean, employers don't feel guilty when they don't take someone. I remember when my other shitty employer told me on the penultimate day of my probationary period that my contract will not be extended. You asshole Damn capitalism How I came over this shitty guilt feelings

Casually looking for job ads for partner, stumbled upon this. I have never seen someone wave every single red flag quite that frantically.

I had a meeting last week saying my position was being considered for redundancy and to try keep me employed I was asked if I wanted to choose from another one of the 8 roles the company has going. I can't do any of them as they're all quite senior positions. All activity was to be halted until after another meeting that's supposed to take place today. In our Slack channel someone was just promoted to one of the positions that was supposed to be available. Should I ask to “apply” for that role? I've got an official letter stating the reason I'm being considered for redundancy was because a retainer has fallen below a certain amount but I had a wee look at our client database and it's way above what they stated.
