I should also say this happened a year ago but recently found this sub and wanted to know more of what I could’ve done. At my job there were very narrow walkways and I (18F) began to notice a male (≈30year old) coworker would rub his whole frontside on the back of me every time he walked by (should also mention he was overweight). Not only that he would sometimes grab my hips while he walked by. It would happen every time, several times a day, I lost count. I talked to my family and other female coworkers who claimed he did it to them too, everyone thought it would be a good idea to bring it up with my boss. So the next day I tell my boss and she was very sweet about it and told me she will have a talk with him and apparently, I wasn’t…

Are We Ready For Automation?
So job got 2 new staff I'm a cart associate love my job until lately.. New boss spends all the time in the backroom on the PC.. doesn't come out and see what I do and the mess the alcoholic cart associate does to people.. Tuesday hey we need to inspect the parking lot before you can clock out because the last 2 days Sunday and Monday my days off I'm not there. Cart associates left carts in the parking lot. I replied no 1 cart associate left carts out there let me guess the alcoholic did right. The coach replies yes and I was livid angry .. I told them sure you can inspect the parking lot no problem but you better make sure that you do it before 10:45 on my way home. Sick from new job
So I recently started a new job, and Sunday night was HORRIBLY sick, unfortunately causing me to miss the last few days. Nobody’s called to check on me or see how I’m doing, I just get this text. I dont know why it’s pissing me off so bad lol, I really don’t wanna go back at all now.
Company taking advantage
I recently applied for a second job wanting to work 1-2 days a week to bring in some more income due to cost of living is getting crazier. The job was posted “as needed” meaning you are not tied to any hours and basically they're suppose to just ask if you can work any open hour. Well I had the interview and they are saying they expect 20-30 a week. Like wtf why not just create a part time job with benefits(because it would cost them more money)
Question about “day owing”
So for next week, we’re closed Christmas and Boxing Day..(stat holidays) + my regular 2 days off so it’s a 3 day week but paid for the 5. Now my manager is telling me that I should work the the full 5 and they will “owe me a day” another time. Now I said no, and the schedule posted has that extra days that I said no to on it. If I don’t show up for that shift can they do anything? (This is retail and I’m in Ontario, Canada)
What a sweet story! rolls eyes
