I emphasize on the fair pay.

I don’t own a car so my company let me work from home two days a week but are now ending it in two weeks. It takes me 2 hours one way to go to work using transit. Going every day will not be sustainable for me. Can I like get unemployment since they are asking me to travel for so long without a car?
Laid-off at 22, struggling
I got laid off last week from an administrative assistant position at a construction company; business was really struggling. I have an associates in business management that I got because it was a good opportunity. I'm so lost and I don't know what to pursue. I've been applying to jobs for two weeks, no response from anyone really. I sent my resume to a recruiter friend and he helped me improve it so I'm hoping that helps. I've always had a different perspective on work. I was never the type to want to work a 9-5 for the rest of my life. Every job I've ever had since I was 17 had made me feel trapped. I worked in retail, food, textile, tax accounting and more. I just want to try something remote, at least that way I won't have to deal with stupid people in person (I'm an introvert).…
use sick day after superbowl.
So, I had too much fun on superbowl Sunday and called in with a hangover. I have days of sick day available, but boss is saying I can't use this. Is this legal? In California

“Forget balance, Find joy!”
I feel so slimy for writing it out. This is the tag line of an upcoming leadership seminar my organization is offering to women in the workplace. I'm the marketing person and have to advertise this. How can I heal my conscience?
At my company we clock in and out using a website called HRX. At the end of the pay period we approve our time punches. Over the course of the two week pay period I accumulated 0.5 hours of overtime. Of course I approved my time punches because I sat there and worked the whole time. However once I approve them my boss also needs to approve them. Without asking, she changed my hours so that I don’t get any of that 0.5 hours of overtime pay. Are there any legal implications around this? Do I have any basis to fight this or just need to live with it for now?
