Let’s move beyond the blame game
Anyone notice all the blame going around for people's problems? Whether it be boomers, millennials, immigrants, other countries, poor people commiting crime, and a rage of other demographics, the blame game just creates division. Class analysis clearly illustrates that the ruling class, whether capitalists or statists, are the headwaters so could legitimately be blamed but it still doesnt solve anything. When WE, the 99%, get together to improve our lives and address the challenges TOGETHER, we step out of victimhood and into the high of freedom unencumbered with self pity for ones state.
Wonder why no one wants to work anymore
I gave my life to my career. Even when management was discouraging people to not get vaccinated illegally! Top guy forced to resign and still keeps his all his benefits which is in the millions. He cheated on his wife and made another chick pregnant. His policies are still in place. He laughed and told everyone to get second jobs if they didn’t make enough due to him cutting hours while the union clerked was laughing as well in the room. I fucking hate this country 🇺🇸 I am bitter and rightly so. Watching women being laughed at while trying to work honestly and being used while us men are just victims too in this egotistical bullshit because we are forced to watch his mistreatment of black women who were are coworkers and friends. Fuck the government, fuck trump, fuck the post master general that created this toxic environment. I…
The older I get, it ends up being mostly “Whoever has the richest parents has the highest chance of graduating college, getting into grad school, starting a good career, and starting a successful business.” I read the news and see my old classmates who used to eat free and reduced lunch at school. The ones who lived in subsidized housing. They’re in the news now for robbing convenience stores and getting into gang violence. And then there’s the classmates whose parents are doctors. Now those kids are getting into medical school and etc. They aren’t even the hardest workers. They used to be the class clowns and the bullies. But their parents could afford to pay for their college and housing. I look at myself: former class president, honors, and a whole bunch of stuff. And I’m struggling to afford the basics. Can’t afford school. Don’t think I’ll ever be…

I’ll try to summarize. I was at $18 the whole time I’ve been manager. They randomly bumped all sales associates to $18 and told me they would talk to me about my pay the next day or day after. They didn’t talk to me for two days so I called, and they tell me they tell me my raise won’t be “processed” until mid January, and couldn’t guarantee it would be retroactively applied to start the same date as everyone else’s raise. I don’t want to make this post too long so you will have to take my word for it, but I do EVERYTHING for that store. Sacrifice my whole life basically and work every single day to keep it open. I do tasks by myself that typically require 6-8 people. I work 5pm-7 am twice a week to make it happen. I’m waiting until they give the raise…
A positive text conversation
We see so many horrible conversations via text on here, and I wanted to share an example of what I think is a nice example of being offered work via text. I am aware that this is rare and that I'm very lucky to be in the situation I am in. I'm a middle grade ICU doctor in Australia for context. Being offered a last minute shift. https://preview.redd.it/z2hd0oh3h69a1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=251dcb3ac17b035207ba2a1d51d587f1bfe7d137
