The last time I participated in secret Santa I got called into HR because my secret Santa “never received a gift from me.” I had gotten her a $30 bottle of wine and no one told me I was supposed to bring a second present for her to the Christmas party. Meanwhile I got a gift box of hair care products that I couldn't use because they were meant for straight hair and mine is extremely kinky curly. This year the person who was supposed to give me something asked if I'd be there Mon, I told them I only work weekends and that I didn't mind waiting a week. They told me they had it in their car and would give it to me before the end of the shift and then avoided me the rest of the night. Never again.
A Christmas Miracle!
So yesterday, the restaurant I work at had to close because of ventilation problems in the kitchen. The place flooded with carbon monoxide, and one of my coworkers was smart enough to call the fire department, who promptly ordered everyone out of the affected areas. No kitchen = restaurant closed. I'll admit, I was bummed about missing out on the night's money, but I had forgotten how nice it is to just relax and celebrate the holidays. Most of my coworkers and I met up and celebrated our “Christmas Miracle!” Still waiting for word on today….
I 22f was a first time caregiver at an Ill equipped facility. I felt abused there and taken advantage of for months. I quit on the spot a few days ago after they told me to get better at everything, and just be better all around the board otherwise I would be fired. She made me cry by calling me a liar and telling me I was not meant for healthcare. And I found out my coworkers were lying about my performance to my face and ripping me to shreds behind my back for months. They didn’t tell me because they got the vibe I wouldn’t listen to them. I wrote down a list of my bosses flaws and everything wrong with this place but tossed it. I was just angry and needed to vent on something. I texted her that I quit effective immediately and she was fine with…
Hermey on r/antiwork
Please help me understand ….
This sub is seriously about people claiming they should not work at all. I can see people hating their current job but are there people here who literally believe that they should not have to work at all?
I've honestly been out of part time work field for a while now. Due to personal circumstances I am looking for part time work. There are some days I'm not free, and I absolutely can't get out of. I see on job postings MUST be available all evenings. They might post stuff like 25 hours for the job description. Doing the math and looking at their hours though, all evenings would still be more than 25 hours. If they need someone to cover a certain shift. Why don't they say it? For example, if their main worker is always off Thursdays and Tuesdays, why don't you just say it? am I asking too much? Its just so frustrating. I showed up on one interview and I was like I'm not free just this one day. And they said, OK sorry bye, we need someone for (Monday) I was free every…
how many work have you been involved into and which one did you like the most?
Hello everyone, i hope you all had a great xmas. This is going to be a long post and rant. I'm having a really hard time thinking if i should make the decisition to quit. My job isn't bad at all, actually, i have a lot of benefits compared to other similar jobs: -A little more pay than the average. -Working an hour less per day. -Great schedule. -Very close to my house. -I have my own office and can read r/antiwork in my free time (which sometimes is a lot due to finish my task very quickly) :DD -No dress code (I'm a man with long hair and tattoos) But it's my bosses and thier lack of recognition for my work who are making me sick. It's my first job and it allowed me to move from my parents house and buy things i ever wanted that are very…
My partner works in a warehouse for one of the 4 main supermarket companies in Estonia. This is what she got for Christmas last week. It's a pack of nuts and a pack of blood sausage. I didn't bother check the store value but it's probably around 5€.
