Absolutely love how everyone appreciates how we are open on Christmas Eve in a store with shit heat during legit blizzard conditions, but the fuckers don't appreciate it enough to tip.

I work at a smoothie place (chain) in a smallish town and the VP of operations came by 5pm on Tuesday saying the store should be closed by Christmas. FOUR DAYS! I’m the manager and I said that was impossible at least till the end of the year so the official close is the 30th. How is this even fair? I’m really just wondering about unemployment possibly for my employees. I just feel terrible for them and that the owner thought all this was ok. And said “hope I didn’t ruin your holiday” bffr

I was earning £32k and was WFH for 4 days a week but I was constantly stressed and burnt out and unhappy in my job. Constant emails and pointless meetings, never mind actually getting on with the work I had to do. Plus all the office politics going on and people leaving and not getting replaced, instead that persons additional work being piled on and shared out to my colleagues and myself.
