pretty new to job, got hit w! sudden Mandatory OT changes with no notice.

3 weeks in a row of OT with no notice or heads up, i already threw my fit (to myself ofc) over it. The thing is, if you don’t want to do the OT on a shift, we are required to provide a “valid” excuse as to why we can’t do it. Apart from pure fatigue, I’ve got nothing, can anyone tell me which “valid” excuses could work in this scenario? edit: “w/“ not “w!” in title
