So I left my old job in early May to start my own business. My old boss is currently my first client and I am charging him for a service that I did before for him for free.
He emailed me this morning asking if I could work 20 hours and possibly more later each week on a project they have. I told him I’d only be able to work 1 or 2 days a week until the business really took off. I texted my cool coworker and she told me all about how my replacement isn’t working out.
Funny thing is I was promised a raise two months in to starting, I talked to him about it and he said “Let’s wait for more mileage.” My coworker later told me that my replacement is starting making $3/hr more than I was making!
He was a shitty boss so fuck him but if I continue working with him I can put the cool projects he has done in the past on my website so I don’t want to lose connection with him yet.
